sensorische und molekulare Neurobiologie des Wirtssuchverhaltens und der Wirtspr\u00e4ferenz von Zecken. In den letzten 14 Jahren hat sich<br \/>\ndie Zeckenpopulation weltweit verdoppelt. Zecken z\u00e4hlen zu den gef\u00e4hrlichsten Tieren in<br \/>\ndeutschen W\u00e4ldern. Sie \u00fcbertragen mehr Infektionskrankheiten, als jede andere Gruppe<br \/>\nblutsaugender Arthropoden, wie zum Beispiel Borreliose, Enzephalitis (FSME) und Anaplasmose.<br \/>\nSowohl m\u00e4nnliche als auch weibliche Zecken ben\u00f6tigen Blutmahlzeiten in jedem ihrer drei Entwicklungsstadien, um fortpflanzungsf\u00e4hig zu werden.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: 5%;\"><span style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: din-regularalternate; font-size: 14pt; letter-spacing: 0.01em;\">Trotz ihrer Bedeutung als Krankheits\u00fcbertr\u00e4ger, besteht derzeit nur ein geringes Verst\u00e4ndnis<br \/>\n\u00fcber Zecken. Folglich haben wir derzeit auch keine Mittel, die steigende Zeckenpopulationen zu kontrollieren. Eine m\u00f6gliche Kontrollstrategie besteht darin, die F\u00e4higkeit der Zecke zu st\u00f6ren,<br \/>\nWirte zu lokalisieren. Die Zeckenneurobiologie wurde jedoch stark vernachl\u00e4ssigt. Die sensorischen<br \/>\nund neuronalen F\u00e4higkeiten von Zecken bleiben r\u00e4tselhaft.
